Acne Vulgaris, commonly known as “zits” or “pimples” are a frequent and distressing problem in the adolescent age group. Acne occurs due to inflammation of the oil glands present under the skin, which get activated by hormones, at the onset of puberty. Genes also play a role in determining how prone a person is to acne. Our environment(heat, dust and humidity) is another contributing factor.
